Laminated board

The main difference between the plywood and laminated board is the fact that plywood is made from sheets of wood called veneer, whereas laminates can be manufactured from high-density fiber, melamine resin or wood particles.Plywood and laminated wood are two types of common available alternatives to traditional wood.

Laminated wood is wood that has been cut into thin layers, then glued together with the grain running parallel in each layer. Attributes that make the laminated wood stronger than it’s solid counterpart include:  The glue used to hold the layers together increase strength. Added flexibility reduces stress-cracking.

Laminate on wood are commonly applied for furniture tops specially on thin surfaces, including consoles and tables. Decorative compact laminates are sometimes built as toilet room schemes, work tables and room tops.
